The History of Straitjacket
|
Although Straitjacket rotated through various
members during this period, this version with Kirk
and Donna was probably the most successful
involving a female lead.
By 1986 the band departed from the female lead concept and decided to become a 4-piece male oriented rock
band focusing on the mainstream rock of the day. Along with the talent of Paul Gibson on Bass and lead vocals
and a vibrant personal chemistry amongst Steve, Paul and Randy, this version of Straitjacket set the standard
and was the most successful.

The band was originally a 5-piece with Donna as the female lead. Kirk and Donna married in 1985. Things
went smoothly for the band as it performed covers of Pat Benatar, Pretenders, Survivor, et al.
